Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things
By Dr. Vertika Bansal, Dr. Abida Durrany, Edited by Bernard Scott
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are two of the most transformative technologies shaping the modern world. AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that can learn, reason, and make decisions. IoT, on the other hand, is a network of interconnected devices that collect and exchange data in real time. When combined, AI and IoT create a powerful synergy that enhances the efficiency, responsiveness, and intelligence of systems across industries. For instance, in smart homes, IoT sensors monitor environmental changes while AI algorithms adjust lighting, temperature, and security settings automatically. In healthcare, wearable devices collect patient data and AI analyzes it for early diagnosis and predictive treatment. In manufacturing, AI-powered IoT enables predictive maintenance, reducing downtime and improving productivity. This fusion also plays a vital role in autonomous vehicles, agriculture, energy management, and urban planning. However, with these advancements come challenges such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and the need for regulatory frameworks. Nonetheless, the integration of AI and IoT continues to redefine how we live and work, promising a smarter, more connected future. Together, they are revolutionizing decision-making and paving the way for intelligent automation and real-time responsiveness on a global scale. This book explores the convergence of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, highlighting their combined potential to revolutionize industries and everyday life. Contents: 1. Theories of Intelligent Machines, 2. Internet of Things, 3. Language System in Artificial Intelligence, 4. Computational Creativity, 5. Artificial Intelligence in Robotics and Machine Learning, 6. Reinforcement Machine Learning, 7. Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, 8. Open Source IoT Architecture, 9. Cluster Analysis and Deep Learning
