Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies
By Shams Khan, Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh, Edited by Derek Rivera
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT) are two rapidly advancing fields transforming the modern world. AI refers to the ability of machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, decision-making, and language understanding. It includes technologies like machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and computer vision. Information Technology, on the other hand, deals with the use of computers, software, networks, and data systems to store, process, and transmit information efficiently. It includes areas like computer hardware, software development, databases, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and internet technologies. The integration of AI in IT systems has revolutionized industries such as healthcare, finance, education, agriculture, and transportation. For example, AI-powered diagnostic tools assist doctors in detecting diseases, while intelligent financial algorithms support fraud detection and risk management. Smart assistants like Siri and Alexa show how AI enhances everyday digital experiences. AI and IT together drive innovation, improve productivity, and support automation, making systems more efficient and intelligent. However, they also raise concerns related to data privacy, job displacement, and ethical use. As these technologies continue to evolve, there is a growing need for policies and education to ensure their responsible and inclusive development. This book provides a comprehensive introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies, highlighting their principles, applications, and future prospects. Contents: 1. Artificial Intelligence, 2. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, 3. Anticipatory Socialization and Intelligence Analysis, 4. Artificial Neural Networks, 5. Computer Algorithm Programming System, 6. Critiques of the Big Data Paradigm, 7. Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, 8. Agents in Artificial Intelligence.
